What exactly is the Theater District

The Theatre District of New York is contained roughly within a thin strip of Manhattan.  To many it may seem like a long strip, but really it is only a small amount of space relatively speaking, from 53rd St to 42nd streets between eighth and sixth Avenues.  Loving this is also called the great White Way.  In the Theatre District of New York City there are approximately 36 theaters which people from all over the world come to see.
